“This past year has been tough for so many people in so many ways and we look forward to a period of strong recovery.
“To support the town’s economy we will be running a series of themed online promotions, highlighting the town’s excellent independent shops, health and beauty outlets, restaurants and cafes, bars and pubs. We will be encouraging residents to ‘Go Local’.
“We are looking forward to the full return of the Town Market in May with an ambition to make it bigger than ever.

“The May market is a great opportunity to show that Burgess Hill is well and truly back in business.
“It will also be great to see community life get back into full swing and we have a range of town events planned over the spring and summer to support this which will include a series of free weekly children’s activities in the town centre during the summer holidays, a community spring clean and other events are also in the planning stage.
“We also want to recognise the dedication, sacrifices and hard work of frontline workers and will be fully participating in the NHS, Social Care and Frontline Workers’ Day on July 5.
