Grace Church launched in Chichester in 2006, but now reaches communities and holds services in Bognor Regis, Midhurst and Havant as well.
The church has not been able to hold its usual free outreach activities this year – including car washes, family fun days, summer holiday clubs and screen on the green events – due to the coronavirus pandemic, but Christmas presented members with an opportunity to do something for families across the area.

The hampers, containing a range of Christmas foods, treats and toiletries were donated in gift wrapped boxes by church members, with the bonus of a free DVD of Grace Church’s The Light Shines in the Darkness Christmas carol service, which has been produced specially for this year.
Church leader David Thompson said: “We know it has been a tough year for everyone, but especially so for the more vulnerable families in our community.
“We thought it would be good to share some love this Christmas time, and the members of Grace Church have really risen to that challenge.

“It is particularly good to partner with them in the excellent work they do all year round to make sure that our Christmas gift boxes get to the neediest families.”
Due to the current restrictions Grace Church is holding its Sunday services online from 10am to 11.30am on its YouTube channel – youtube.com/gracechurchtogether
