Classic cars to form big procession in Bexhill for bank holiday event
Bexhill 100 Motoring Club will join forces with Bexhill’s Mayor, Cllr Lynn Langlands to help give people a morale boost on August Bank Holiday Monday.
Lynn Langlands contacted the Club back in June to discuss a plan for its big Bank Holiday Classic Car Show event, which could not go ahead in its usual form.

Cllr Langlands said: “We came up with the Mayor’s Motoring Cavalcade and planned for a few classic vehicles to parade all round Bexhill, to include Pebsham and Sidley, and enable folk to come and stand at the roadside near to their homes to view the parade.
“This was such a thoughtful and generous offer on behalf of the club to the community, as the time and energy they have put into this event has the potential to give enjoyment to many, and is free to enjoy.”
A variety of classic and custom cars will be driving around Bexhill streets between 12 noon and 2pm on Monday August 31.

Hide AdChris Speck, Chairman of Bexhill 100 Motoring Club, expects to have around 50 cars joining the run and said: ‘This would have been the Club’s 16th Classic Car Show – each year the Club donates the profit from the shows to local charities.
“We were hoping to break the £100,000 mark this year, but we sadly had to cancel the show due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
“We wanted to give something back to the community during these difficult times.
“It would be great if people gave us a wave or a toot as we travel the route.”
