The team at Zari provided forty-five meals for the day and another thirty-five for the night shift team as a way of supporting these amazing people.
“We know how hard everyone on the frontline is working and just wanted to try and help in some way. Making sure the ambulance team was well fed seemed like one small way we could do just that,” said owner Almara Miah.

Dropping the food off was not part of a usual delivery, with social distancing protocol observed as well as additional sanitisation during the packing process.
Zari is proud also to say that this isn’t just a one-off. Said Mr Miah: “We will be doing the same next week too! While we can’t help in a physical sense providing a hot meal for people working long hours will hopefully help keep spirits up and make sure they are eating well.”
Zari Indian restaurant offers creative and authentic food, including a dedicated vegan menu and a wide range of other options. Zari is also offering collection and delivery through this challenging time.
