Hastings Jack in the Green in pictures
Jack painted the town green on bank holiday Monday as record crowds turned out to take part in the annual celebration.
Jack and his green bogies led a colourful procession through the streets of the Old Town after being released from the Fishermen’s Museum.
Celebrations continued on the West Hill where jack was slain to release the spirit of summer and leaves were handed to the crowd for good luck.
