Hastings reports another significant drop in Covid-19 cases

Public Health England said Hastings recorded 201 cases in the seven days to Sunday (February 7). In the week before, Hastings reported 300 cases.
The town’s infection rate is now down to 216.9 per 100,000 people, a significant drop from this time a week ago when the rate was 309 per 100,000 people.

Hide AdAt the time, that infection rate was the same as England’s as a whole, but England’s infection rate (233.2 per 100,000 people) is now slightly higher than Hastings’ but is also dropping significantly.
Each area of East Sussex has reported a significant decrease in Covid-19 cases in the past week.
East Sussex County Council reminded people to ‘keep it moving in the right direction’ adding: “Cases here are still extremely high and we must do our part to protect ourselves and the people around us.”
The county reported 1,050 new cases last week, compared to 1,762 new cases the week before.
