Horsham care home thanks war veteran resident on Remembrance Day

Aspen Place Care Home staff and residents commemorated the minutes silence at 11am on Wednesday, November 11, to show respect and honour for those who sacrificed their lives while paying homage to resident Ronald Woodman.
Ronald had his training in the army in Richmond, Yorkshire, after which he embarked for Normandy on June 26, 1944, as a Gunner with the 59th Division (68TH Light Anti-Aircraft).

Hide AdHe continued in the North West Europe Campaign through France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He is particularly proud of his medals and a couple of years ago was awarded the Legion d’Honneur.
