Horsham parks and outdoor sports venues to reopen next week

The parks and countryside facilities owned by Horsham District Council will be open for public use from Monday (March 29).
In Horsham Park, the outdoor gym areas, tennis courts and ball court will be available for use and the benches alongside the Park Podium bandstand will also be re-instated.

Hide AdHorsham Skate Park remains closed while the future of the site is being assessed and partial repairs are undertaken when ground conditions are suitable.
In Southwater Country Park the café will be open as usual for takeaway services but the beach area will remain closed.
The Pump Track at Highwood will be re-opened, along with Broadbridge Heath Skate Park and ball courts.
Warnham Local Nature Reserve will remain open as usual and the Heron’s Rest Café will be open for a limited takeaway service only. The hides will however remain closed as a safety measure.

However, anyone who decides to meet up to enjoy the outdoors still needs to follow Government guidelines and must only meet in groups of up to six people or two households.
Social distancing should still be observed and face masks worn where appropriate.
People are also being urged to take their litter home with them.
