New survey claims that 18 percent of Brighton area residents would not travel abroad without a vaccine

Their information relating to Brighton indicates 18% will not travel without a vaccine; 9% will not get a COVID-19 vaccine even if it’s available and 12% will only have staycations in the future. Almost 9 in 10 (88%) of Brits surveyed agree that it is not safe to travel abroad due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Two thirds (67%) feel that the UK should have closed its borders when it first entered a lockdown. COVID-19 has cost the average Brit nearly £3,000 spanning across food, loss of earnings and cancelled events Showing a clear generational divide, nearly 4 out of 10 (37%) millennials believe the media is exaggerating the outbreak, compared to just 6% of those aged 55 and over. As three out of 10 (31%) of those surveyed say they will be too scared to travel after restrictions are lifted, there are a smaller number of people who are jumping at the chance to get abroad again (less than 2 in 10). Even though we have no idea how long these restrictions will last, in the public’s opinion it will take at least one year for them to consider going away – even if it’s a staycation in our own country.
