Plans put forward to turn popular former Eastbourne shop into flats
Plans have been put forward to turn a well-loved former Eastbourne shop into flats.
Sylvia’s Chest of Drawers in Seaside, a popular women’s underwear shop which closed two years ago after 30 years in business, could be turned into five one-bedroom flats, according to plans.
In a design and access statement submitted to the council, the developers aim to construct a two-storey building in the vacant area behind the shop, convert the existing shop into a flat and also build on top of the original building.
