POPULAR FAIR HIGHLIGHTS IMPORTANCE OF WOOD
Organised by East Sussex County Council, the fair promotes the importance of the region's wood to the environment and local economy, and is the leading wood-use event in the south-east.
More than 100 local businesses were present, ranging from tree surgeons and wood cutting equipment specialists to furniture makers and book clubs.

'By supporting local businesses linked to woodland, and promoting the importance of sustainable woodland management, the Wood Fair helps to highlight woodland as a vital part of both the environment and the local economy.'
More unusual attractions included long bow demonstrations, a chainsaw sculpture and a stegosaurus-shaped seat.
There was also a local produce marquee selling honey, fruit, jams and soap.
