Rare birds spotted at sewage works
The Trumpeter Finch has been in the garden of Dean Amy's cottage for several weeks now but he was unable to find it in his bird books.
However, next door neighbour David Howey, a well known Sussex ornithologist, suddenly spotted it on Friday and was in raptures because he was able to positively identify it.

Hide AdWithin hours more than 30 twitchers arrived at the roadside all keen to get a glimpse of the rare visitor.
Mr Amy said: 'I had to shut the gates to keep the bird watchers out because the site is an operational works. However, the bird came close to road and with their expensive cameras and binoculars I am sure they all got a very good view.'
