Remembrance in Bexhill: Hundreds turn out for service commemorating Armistice 100
Huge crowds gathered around the town’s War Memorial on Sunday morning (November 11) to observe a poignant service and two-minute silence.
The day before, on Saturday, a special ceremony was held to inaugurate and bless four statues, which are positioned next to the War Memorial.

Hide AdThe Tommy memorials, part of the national There But Not There campaign, were the idea of resident Les Cook, who raised enough money to fund five memorials – four in Bexhill and one in Little Common.
