BRIDGE CLUB: At its meeting on Wednesday August 17, the result of the duplicate pairs played was: 1, Liz and Tim Owen; 2, Barrie Smith and Alan Grindley; 3, Pam Brook and Joan Evett. The club next meets in the St Mary’s room of the village hall on Wednesday at 7.30pm. Contact 814220.
ST MARY’S: Tomorrow, Saturday, will see a very special wedding at St Mary’s as The Revd Beth marries Mr Ian McCleave. The ceremony takes place at 11am and the couple will welcome any members of the congregation to come and support them.

Hide AdBORED, INACTIVE CHILDREN?: Why not encourage them with their friends to the free fun activity afternoon on Friday September 2, arranged by St Mary’s. Based on the village green near the Scout Hut area, there will be table tennis, circus skills, croquet, rounders and soft ball cricket. It will be from 2.30pm to 4.30pm with refreshments, for 11 to 16 year olds. Pick up a registration form from the Ringmer café, Ringmer Community College or the church, or text/call 07552487694 for details.
COUNTRY MARKET: The Country Market will not be open on Tuesday following the Bank Holiday. However, we look forward to seeing our regular customers and some new ones when we re-open on September 6.
