SNOW: School closures and poor driving conditions
As the snow started to settle yesterday evening, it resulted in several road collisions which shut the A27 at the Sussex Pad in Shoreham and near to the Coach and Horses pub in Patching, near Worthing, for a number of hours.
This morning, (Tuesday, March 12) driving conditions are still hazardous, with slow moving traffic on many of the main carriageways.

Hide AdThe A27 at Lyons Farm, Worthing, is moving very slowly, while on other routes such as the A259 between Shoreham and Worthing, drivers are slowing down and being extra cautious.
Many drivers have suggested via social networking sites that the roads were not gritted enough, which it was said resulted in several people getting stuck and having to abandon their vehicles.
As the blizzards got worse, some schools have decided to close today.
So far, the schools that are listed as closed by West Sussex County Council are:
