Special tree planted in Horsham to mark the centenary of the end of WWI
The planting was carried out by chairman of the Horsham Branch of the Royal British Legion Nigel Caplin and an address was delivered by chairman of the Friends of Horsham Park, Sally Sanderson.
Also there was Horsham District chairman Peter Burgess, other members of the Friends of Horsham Park, members of the Horsham Branch of the British Legion and members for Denne, Forest and Trafalgar Neighbourhood Councils.

Hide AdThose gathered for the short ceremony then tied their own individual messages of remembrance on the tree which is positioned in The Poppy Field in the park next to Park House.
Sally Sanderson said: “The playing of the Last Post after the planting of the tree was very poignant. This was followed by people being invited to hang messages on the tree – we were delighted that so many people could be involved and share their thanks and thoughts of remembrance.”
