Street market does boost town trade - Chamber
Announcing this year's event over the weekend of September 20-21, the chamber says: "The road will be closed to all traffic from 6am to 7pm on both days and over 50 traders from France and locally usually attend.
"It is really good to see chamber members having stalls and other traders from nearby trading roads.

Hide Ad"We hope to have even more local farmers offering organic or locally grown produce.
"The town will be very busy on these two days and the visitors to the market do shop in the town - our marshals take note of the shopping bags they carry as they leave!
"There will be many visitors in town - we know they are visitors by the hundreds over the two days that ask the question 'Where are the nearest toilets?'
"This is a Bexhill Chamber event that is totally self-funding and is now one of the very few events that brings many people to the town centre for two days to shop, eat and drink."

Hide AdIn a message to traders, the chamber says: "Booking forms for stall hire and pitch hire are being sent out within next 10 days."
The chamber has also announced that its networking breakfasts on April 4, June 6, September 18 and November 21 will be held in The Strand Room at The Cooden Beach Hotel.
The breakfast costs is 11 for members - non members 14.
The chamber's popular summer barbecue will be held this year on July 18 on the beach terrace at The Cooden Beach Hotel.
The organisation's annual meeting will be held at the September 18 networking breakfast in the hotel's Strand Room.
