'˜Suspicious' midnight car fire in Bexhill does damage

Dorset Road resident Sue Crick and her son Joe noticed the fire at around 12.30am.
The son checked no one was inside before it slid down the hill and stopped against a car, which also caught fire and then spread to a fence and bushes.

Hide AdOne East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crew from Bexhill soon arrived and used 1-in-7 foam to put out the fire.
Mrs Crick said emergency services stayed for an hour to establish the cause, with police telling her it was a ‘suspicious incident’.
