Vacancy after parish councillor resigns
The news was announced at a meeting of Lancing Parish Council at the Parish Hall in South Street last night.
His departure leaves a vacancy on the council which must be filled in the near future, rather than waiting for the next scheduled eletions.

During this time if the parish council receives a notice signed by 12 electors then an election must then be held, otherwise the council can appoint (co-opt) a new councillor to fill the position.
Mr Mcleod was elected councillor for Churchill ward in the local elections in May and had been due to serve until 2020.
