VIDEO: Calling all men
The Y Front Run, which is often dubbed the men’s version of the Race for Life, raises money for Cancer Research UK, Balls to Cancer and St Wilfrid’s Hospice and is coming to Eastbourne Sport’s Park on Sunday, July 6.
The event is to raise awareness of testicular, prostate and penile cancers in particular , and the fact that men can suffer from breast cancer too.

Hide AdOrganisers Jo and Hollie held the first Y Front Run in Hastings last year and after its success, rolled it out to a variety of other towns across the South.
They said, “The reason for us putting on this event is that the ladies have their event every year and we thought that the men were missing out. We held it in Hastings in September 2013 with huge success and the men asked us when the next one would be, so we thought other men in other towns might be interested in taking part.
“We have already held Y Front Run Crawley and Y Front Run Tunbridge Wells and we have Y Front Run Ashford on the June 29 with Y Front Run Eastbourne on July 6. On September 14, we have Y Front Run Worthing, finishing the tour in Hastings on September 28.”
The event at Eastbourne Sports Park is a 5k run and starts at 10am, with Commando Fitness leading the warm up.
