Billingshurst’s opening batsmen Stuart Barber (39 not out) and Tom Haynes (46 not out) put on 86 without loss.
Roffey’s bowling attack was led by Leigh Harrison, who conceded 25 runs in eight overs, George Fleming (48 runs off 14 overs) and last week’s seven-wicket star Luke Barnard, who conceded just 11 runs from seven overs.

Billingshurst skipper Barber said: “We had a weak side out and up against the strength of Roffey, we would have taken ten points.
“We lost the toss and they stuck us in and it was really difficult but myself and Tom batted really well against some tremendous bowling.
“If we’d played the whole 58 overs we could have been in a really good position.”

He said: “Obviously we were disappointed because it was a game we could win.
“To be fair they played well for the 30-odd overs we were playing. It wasn’t that we bowled badly but we didn’t take a couple of chances.”
Barber feels his side’s stand against quality opposition should put them in good stead for their visit to third from bottom Brighton & Hove this Saturday.
