Boys make the tennis grade at Chichester
It was a grade-five boy’s singles event – the latest in the series of junior tournaments at the club during the summer.
The event was run using a compass draw format of eight players so that each player was guaranteed three matches.

Hide AdThird place and a bronze medal went to Ben Eaton from Berkshire. Tom Davy was runner-up, taking home silver for winning two out of three matches, and gold went to Daniel McKitterick after he won all his matches without the loss of a single game.
The top two each play their tennis at the Chichester club.
Tournament organiser Peter Cook said: “We had a really good tournament, with some players getting their first taste of competition.
“Support for our tournaments has been great, giving more and more of our juniors experience at competing against players from other clubs.”
