Priory have won their last two games in convincing fashion to move within a point of the Sussex Division Two leaders.
Gillespie said: “We’ve played very nicely in the last two or three games and confidence has a lot to do with your performance. Confidence is much higher, which is really positive.

The top five teams are covered by just 11 points, and all of them have won four and lost two of their first six matches.
“It’s a fascinating division,” added Gillespie. “We’ve played half a dozen very well organised teams who know their own games and their strengths. You’ve got to be on top of your game, organised and play well as a team to get results.”
Priory will seek to make it four home wins out of four when they take on Ansty at Horntye Park tomorrow (Saturday). Joe Lamb is unavailable, but fellow opening batsman Joe Billings is set to return.
