Littlehampton retain Clubmark status
The club were awarded the accreditation three years ago and, following inspections throughout the year, they have once again received the accolade.
A number of aspects at Littlehampton were inspected by the Sussex Cricket Board, with standard of playing facilities, coaching of young cricketers and a cricket programme to satisfy any age all taken into account.

Hide AdSussex Cricket Board club development officer, Steve Feazey, who presented the award, said: “Congratulations to the club on this fantastic achievement.
“Littlehampton Cricket Club are a growing community side and the Sussex Cricket Board look forward to working with the club to help them achieve their future goals.”
A number of players and staff at the club worked hard for the side to achieve the award.
Littlehampton chairman Alan Pyant was delighted to once again claim Clubmark status and said: “Everyone at the club is proud to say that, once again, we have managed to achieve this status.

Hide Ad“We worked hard throughout the year to make sure we retained this and, fortunately, we have managed to do that.
“The club believes that it is important to demonstrate that we have a clear vision about what the cricket club should strive to deliver for its local community and a commitment to continuous improvement.
“We just want to make sure we continue to attract cricketers of all ages and ability in the coming seasons.
“Anyone who wants to get involved in cricket is always welcome at our club and we hope to offer the best possible coaching and support to our players and staff.”

Hide AdLittlehampton are also in discussions to modernise their pavilion, which is more than 100 years old.
The club have spoken to both Sport England and the ECB with regards to upgrading the facilities at the Sportsfield site.
Littlehampton are hoping to offer up-to-date facilities and a year-round centre for the club’s social activities.
