They saved their worst performance of the season for their last and most important league match and lost to local rivals Goring. They got only four points, but enough on a day they had begun eight points ahead of Arundel '”having hit the top for the just first time.

Hide AdFindon skipper Nigel Waller won the toss and, aiming for maximum bowling points, then to bat to victory, put Goring in. Goring were having none of that and batted well, through 57 overs, forfeiting their own batting points, before captain Kevin Burgess called them in at 155 for seven.
