Badminton teams help Chichester University to successful day in British cup
The men’s and women’s badminton teams eased through to the last 16 with comfortable wins over Imperial College and New Bucks.
Elsewhere in the conference cup, the women’s football seconds impressively won 3-1 away to Hertfordshire twos to reach the last 16, and the men’s rugby seconds beat a resilient Reading III at the Bishop Otter Campus 10-8 to reach the same stage.

Hide AdThe biggest game of the day was in the Netball Trophy Cup last-16 fixture between the netball firsts and Nottingham Trent at the Bishop Otter Campus, where a packed sports hall saw Chichester win an enthralling match 30-27 and progress to the quarter-finals.
In the league, the men’s lacrosse crushed Portsmouth II 17-1 and the men’s football seconds won 4-0 at Surrey to maintain top spot in 2A.
The men’s football thirds and fourths put friendships to one side in their 5A league encounter, with the threes 4-2 winners moving three points clear at the top.
