Bexhill ace out for the season
The 26-year-old carpenter from Bexhill travelled to the The Horder Centre in Crowborough on Saturday to have his remaining cartilage and loose bone fragments removed from his right knee.
Hill, who can usually be found in the final third of the pitch, damaged his cartilage at the tail end of last season’s Sussex County Football League Division Two campaign.

“It’s been booked in for a while and I’ve been able to play through it,” Hill said. “The adrenaline would get me though the games, but it would then swell up over the next few days, which made it quite difficult to stay fully fit.
“It was okay when I was in control of it, but with tackles going in, it felt like it was going to give way, so I had to get it sorted out.
“I should only be off work for a couple of weeks, but I think that’ll be it for the season as they said it’ll take three months to heal. I had an ankle injury last year as well - hopefully, when I come back next year, I can go a season without injury.”
Former Sidley United player Hill has also suffered with back trouble in the past.
