Bexhill expect ace Clarke to stay
Clarke began the season with Bexhill and took over the captain’s armband before Christmas, but has spent most of the last two-and-a-half months playing two levels higher for Burgess Hill Town.
Asked if he expects Clarke to be available for the rest of the campaign, Bexhill boss Darrol Parris said: “He said he will be. I wouldn’t have thought he would’ve trained (with Bexhill) on Tuesday if he was at Burgess Hill.”

Hide AdRyman Division One South strugglers Burgess Hill changed their managerial set-up recently, though, and the likeable 28-year-old has played in Bexhill’s last two matches.
Clarke scored twice in last weekend’s 2-1 win at Midhurst & Easebourne to make it 21 for the season - four shy of the target set for him last summer by Parris, himself a prolific marksman in his playing days.
“I think he’s improved in a short space of time. He’s always worked hard for me, but I think his touch has had to get a little bit better and his awareness of other people around him. I think he’s learnt a bit,” added Parris.
