This morning’s (Monday’s) draw for second round qualifying has handed the U’s a trip to league rivals Herne Bay. The match will be played on Saturday September 26.
A tight contest is on the cards because Herne Bay lie sixth in Ryman Football League Division One South with 15 points from their first eight matches. United are three points and four places worse off.

Hide AdHerne Bay were 3-1 winners away to Rochester United in first round qualifying on Saturday, while United edged through 1-0 at home to Thatcham Town thanks to a first half penalty from Sam Adams.
The teams are yet to meet in the league this season, although United won all four matches between the clubs in the previous two campaigns without conceding a goal, the latest of which was a vital 1-0 victory at The Pilot Field on Easter Saturday.
