Brighton attacker could return against Everton after Aaron Mooy's suspension

Trossard, 24, has not featured since the 4-0 loss at Manchester City on August 31, after he picked-up a groin injury while on international duty with Belgium. The attacker was an unused substitute during the 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa last weekend and is returning to full fitness after his spell on the sidelines. Aaron Mooy is suspended for the match against Everton following his first half sending-off at Villa. Trossard, Solly March and Steven Alzate, who was on the bench at Villa having started the last three matches in the Premier League, will hope to impress in training this week and stake their claim for for a starting role. March, who had been out with a hamstring problem, returned to action at Villa as he came on for the second half in place of Aaron Connolly. It was the midfielder's first action since the 1-1 draw against Burnley. Brighton head coach Graham Potter said, "He’s [Trossard] only had a week’s training, so that’s why we thought he’d need a bit more time before going into that situation [away match at Aston Villa]. “We’ll see how this week goes, so hopefully he’ll have another full week’s training, and we can make an assessment then.” Mooy's first red card of his professional career proved costly for Albion last Saturday as the Australian international was dismissed for two yellow cards in five minutes. His first was for kicking the ball away after conceding a free-kick and the second was for taking out Jack Grealish on 35 minutes. His fellow midfielder Dale Stephens said Mooy was "quiet" in the dressing room after the match but the summer arrival from Huddersfield later apologised on Instagram. “I’m really annoyed with myself and sorry as I feel I’ve let my teammates and the fans down," he wrote. “The first yellow was just an instinct. The ball wasn’t where the foul took place and I rolled it back to the position of the foul. “For the second, I genuinely felt I could make the tackle, realised I couldn’t and tried to pull out, but it was too late.” Stephens thought Mooy's first booking was cheap but had little complaint with the second. “It’s disappointing to go down to ten men because I thought we were in charge, creating chances and looked to be in full control of the game. When you go to ten men at this level it is difficult. "The first one was cheap. I'm not sure he kicked the ball two or three yards, second one could be a booking but I'm not sure about the first one. "It is the second time it has happened this season but even with 10-men we played well and that speaks volumes about the character we have in this team. "The next game [Everton] is vital but our performances have been good and we will be looking to rebound." Potter - aside from Mooy's suspension - will have an almost fully fit squad to choose for Everton, with only Bernardo and Jose Izquierdo ruled out through injury.
