It seems just a brief moment since the summer window closed shut, a window where Brighton made a few shrewd additions to the their squad, including Adam Lallana, Danny Welbeck and Joel Veltman.
However, the January window is just eight Premier League matches away and Brighton will already be busy making preparations to strengthen and also trim their squad.
January could see established or fringe players exit and it could be a chance for some of Albion's talented youngsters to head out on loan and gain vital first team experience elsewere.
Scroll down and click through to see who could be heading for the exit door.
1. Christian Walton
Had a decent spell on loan at Championship outfit Blackburn last season and is reportedly wanted this January by struggling Sheffield Wednesday. Injured in pre-season for Brighton against Chelsea but is back to full fitness and has since turned out for the under-23s. Albion are quite well stocked in the keeping department with Maty Ryan, Jason Steele and Robert Sanchez.
2. Bernardo
Opportunities to impress have been limited under Graham Potter. Never lets the team down when called upon but the Brazilian could be growing increasingly frustrated with life on the bench. He was linked with a move to West Ham last summer and remains behind Solly March and Dan Burn in the pecking order
3. Jayson Molumby
The fiercely determined Ireland international midfielder hoped this could be his breakthrough year in the Premier League but his chances have been limited. Enjoyed an excellent loan at Millwall last season and they were keen to have him back once again this year. Could well look for another loan in January if first team chances remain limited at Albion.
4. Florin Andone
The fiery Romanian striker continues to work his way back to fitness after a serious knee injury sustained while on loan at Galatasaray. Should be fit in the new year but it's difficult to see him back in Potter's first team and another loan move could well suit all parties.
