Gall “gutted” at Storey exit
The pair were joint managers at The Salts for nearly nine months until Storey left at the start of the week to take up a player/assistant manager’s role at Crawley Down Gatwick.
“I’m gutted about it because he was my partner in crime,” said Gall. “I understand why he’s doing what he’s doing and I’ve got no gripes about it. He seemed genuinely upset he was moving on and wanted to thank everyone. The club’s also lost a fantastic player; on his day he’s unstoppable.”

Hide AdGall has now assumed sole charge with Andy Thomson continuing to assist him in the dugout.
“I’m not looking to bring anyone else in at the moment to be fair,” Gall continued. “We’re going to carry on and see how we get on. Thomo was a big influence anyway, but he becomes even more of a key figure now. He’s been fantastic since he’s come in.”
Storey moves to a Crawley Down side which was 15th in Ryman Football League Division One South at Christmas alongside new boss Francis Vines, under whom he played at Basingstoke.
