The U’s made it two wins out of two in Ryman Football League Division One South with a 3-1 victory away to Sittingbourne last night (Tuesday).
All the goals came in the first half. Sittingbourne had more of the early chances, but United drew first blood in the 21st minute when Sam Cole converted a penalty he won himself.

Sittingbourne pulled one back within a minute thanks to a low shot by former United midfielder Ollie Bankole, yet United restored their two-goal cushion in the 35th minute as Attwood drilled the ball home from just outside the box.
The home side hit the top of the crossbar at the end of the first half. There was no further scoring after the break as United completed the opening week of their campaign with nine goals scored and just one conceded.
United: Pelling, Crabb, Hall (Jibodu), Smith, Ray, Walder, Adams, Hollobone, Attwood, Harris, Cole (Foster). Subs not used: Temba, Cruttwell, Vickers. Attendance: 132.
