Haywards Heath Town chairman - 'Financially, we are very sound'
Many sports clubs are suffering financially from this second lockdown - but Isherwood says the club is in a ‘reasonably healthy position’.
But it’s on the pitch, where Shaun Saunders’ men had started to pick up some results, where they are suffering.

Isherwood said: “The club is getting into a reasonably healthy position and financially we are very sound, the lockdown is more of a blow to us on the pitch as everything had started to click together.
“We had forged a real feel good factor both in the stands and within the team, which had been recognised and commented on by some of our more recent opposition.”
And Isherwood believes when they do get back playing, there is only one direction they will be going.

“I count us very lucky to have all three of them.”
And the club are using lockdown to continue a lot of behind-the-scenes work. “We are using the lockdown to carry out works to the pitch, ground improvements , maintenance and progressing our operational systems,” he said.
“We should also soon be taking delivery of our new dugouts which have been partially purchased by a crowdfunding appeal and two of the committee members personal businesses, so my thanks go out to Mike Blake for his generous contribution.”
And can Isherwood see football returning December?
He said: “We are keen to carry our pre-lockdown form through on our return, hopefully early December.
“We are all itching to get back out there and continue the progression of this fantastic club.”
