Lancing’s fine start to the season suffered a setback when they lost at home to Horley Town on Tuesday night.

Ben Connolly’s strike cancelled out Horley’s opener but the Lancers conceded a late own goal to condemn to their second SCFL premier defeat of the campaign.

It leaves them fifth, seven points behind early pacesetters AFC Uckfield Town.
