Ollie Gill then netted an extra-time winner to send the Magpies through to the final. Loxwood had led early on through Rhyan Ramsey’s 25-yard wondergoal, before Burgess Hill equalised on the stroke of half-time.
Loxwood manager Mark Beard said: “I’ve been involved in lots of games, but I don’t think I have ever been involved in game quite like that. It was just when we thought it wasn’t going to be our year, but the boys we have got here never ever let us down. They have done it so many times, just kept playing and end up winning games late on.”
Last week, they also beat AFC Wimbledon 2-1 in a warm-up match for their full-time opponent’s FA Youth Cup game.
