Worthing boss Hinshelwood unsurprised by dip in form
The Isthmian Premier Division leaders’ winless home run stretched to four games with last Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Potters Bar Town.
The Mackerels’ last home win came in a 2-0 league triumph over Cheshunt more than a month ago, and Hinshelwood’s side have only won once in their past five games.

Hide AdAfter coming off the back of an impressive seven consecutive victories, Hinshelwood admits he hasn’t been surprised in their fortunes slowing down.
He said: “You don’t expect it to come but it hasn’t taken me by surprise because I know the level of the league.
“We’re not a team that’s gone and spent a fortune or got a massive budget, compared to everyone else in the league.
“We’re probably middle of the road in terms of budgets in the league so we’re going to come up against teams and not be able to pick up points, but that’s the way it is.”

“Even the teams at the bottom who don’t want to go down will probably be spending some money on getting new recruits to help them stay in the league so it’s tough, and you saw that with Wingate beating Folkestone just last week.”
Worthing host 18th-placed Wingate & Finchley this Saturday with the visitors hoping to extend their six-game unbeaten run in the league.
