Grattons Bowls Club prospers against tough opposition
On Tuesday against the Royals from Tunbridge Wells proved a very friendly and interesting game as several Grattons members are also members of the Royals.
Grattons’ top rink of Mike Beesley, Janet Clark and Clive Keay won 21-12.

Hide AdOn Saturday Grattons played Swale (Sittingbourne). Swale’s building is only four-years-old and the relatively new carpet challenged Grattons’ players.
However, the Crawley side won by 107-101 and the top rink of Clive Keay, Jackie Cousins, Ken Keohane, and Mike Beesley (pictured) won by a convincing 25-14!
Grattons summer season continues to go very well; they played Egerton Park, Bexhill.
Captain Caroline said: “As usual, Egerton provided very tough opposition and we had a superb game.”

Hide AdGrattons top rink: John Walton, Sue Gutteridge, Dee Sharman and Mike Beesley won by 18-12.
Grattons also played local club Horsham.
Captain Ken said: “The impending threat of closure of the Horsham club by the Horsham District Council is causing the Horsham members some anxiety.
However, that did not diminish the player’s enthusiasm and kindness to their visitors; it proved to be a very exciting game”.
Grattons top rink of Alan Harris, Liz Toop, Maureen Cranfield, Ted Smith won by 21-18.
