Lockhart's missed spot-kick came in the opening 10 minutes, after Lloyd Vanson was brought down, and, for the rest of the opening 45 minutes, both sides were employed in a sparring session.

Hide AdMussels made more headway eight minutes after the break, when Mark Pulling's corner was insufficiently dealt with, and Warren Levy came in with a firm header from eight yards to give Shoreham the lead.
