Ryan will no doubt be busy in the final nine matches as Brighton face a tricky run-in - especially at home. The Albion welcome some of the most lethal strikers from across the world as Arsenal, Man United, Liverpool, Man City and Newcastle have to visit. A good goalkeeper can make all the difference and Brighton have had some fine stoppers since they moved to the Amex in 2011. In that time, five managers have used 11 goalkeepers - scroll down and click through to see, in order of Amex appearances, those tasked with keeping out opposition strikers.
1. David Stockdale 2014-2017
69 Amex appearances (all in the Championship). Signed from Fulham in July 2014 after a number loan spells away from Craven Cottage. Took a while to settle but Chris Hughton got the best out of him. Outstanding in the 2016/17 promotion season.
2. Maty Ryan 2017-present
50 Amex appearances (all in Premier League). Mr. Consistent after joining from Valencia in June 2017. Has only missed two home games since that time, due to his involvement with Australia in the 2019 Asia Cup. With nine match remaining, Ryan will be crucial to Albion's survival chances. Contracted until June 2022.
3. Tomasz Kuszczak 2012-2014.
45 Amex appearances (all in the Championship). Joined in June 2012 after being released by Manchester United. Superb in his two seasons with Albion, both of which ended with defeat in the play-offs.
4. Peter Brezovan 2009-2014.
16 Amex appearances (10 Championship, 2 FA Cup, 4 EFL Cup). Made his debut back in 2009 when he saved a penalty on his debut. Usually used as an understudy, his only decent run in the team came in the 2011/12 season. Released at the end of the 2013/14 campaign.
