Wind and rain can't halt Hastings AC runners
There was a great win for Reus Brown in an under-13s one-mile race in a blistering 5:30, followed by perhaps the best sprint finish of the day from Lenni Ruusuvuori in 6:04. Seb Arnold ran 6:37 and Eden 07:12.
Conditions were not ideal with icy rain and winds gaining strength as the morning progressed allowing for very few PBs and only one for HAC, but athletes took on the 5k with determination.

With two more events in this series to go there is scope for PBs to be beaten.
Earlier in the month Katie Arnold smashed another PB by well over a minute in the Running Grand Prix Goodwood Motor Circuit 10k, coming in at 42.37.
Congratulations go to Chris Brandt, who won the Tempo November 5k with a swift time of 19:31.

Hide AdChris also won the 10k competition in October with an equally impressive age graded score. Quality training and consistency has certainly paid dividends.
Training is still taking place at the track at William Parker Academy with strict Covid regulations in place.
The juniors’ group has been particularly busy and it’s great to see so many local children getting on the track to get the exercise in the fresh air they so need during these difficult times.
With such professional coaches and the good sense of community that HAC has always offered, it’s such a positive place for the local children.
