The Red Devils avoided relegation last term, struggling to a disappointing 20th place finish, and are forecast to once again be plying their trade at the wrong end of the league table.
BetVictor make them a 7/2 chance to finish in the bottom two next term but, fortunately for Crawley fans, both Morecambe and Newport County should likewise struggle and are the 10/3 joint-favourites to be relegated at the end of the season. The pair are 6/1 market leaders for the wooden spoon, the Red Devils 8/1, but it’s Morecambe that look the value of the two and get the nod to prop up the league come May.

Portsmouth’s quest to exit League Two extends to a fourth season with Pompey’s descent down the ladder a sad sight for fans and neutrals like.
It remains almost beyond unthinkable to see Fratton Park playing host to fourth division football a mere 7 years after exiting the top-flight in the summer of 2010. It is perhaps no surprise to see them backed like good things every season and that flood of cash has followed them again this term; backed into 4/1 from 11/2 favourites already and likely to start even shorter.
One could argue that 4/1 is now too short at the prices, for a side that have disappointed in three successive seasons in League Two but with a wealth of attacking options in the final and Michael Smith in particular looks a terrific signing for the club. Smith impressed in a loan spell towards the end of last term, netting 4 goals in 13 league games, and looks a terrific price at 20/1 to be League Two’s top goalscorer next term.
League Two Top Goalscorer; Selected prices from BetVictor
Gary Roberts 16/1
Mark McNulty 16/1
Conor Chaplin 20/1
Michael Smith 20/1
Adam McGurk 25/1
Curtis Main 33/1
Milan Lalkovic 33/1
James Collins 33/1
Matt Harrold 33/1
