Saxons homing in on second place
Currently fourth in South Hockey League Sussex Area - Division One, Saxons will host third-placed Lewes III knowing that a win will take them above second-placed Penguin, who are fixtureless.
A runners-up finish - the best Saxons can realistically hope for with unbeaten leaders Lewes II marching off into the distance - would net a promotion play-off against the equivalent-placed team in the Kent division.

Saxons haven’t played since their 8-2 thrashing of Crowborough on November 20. Their last four matches have been postponed, three due to the bad weather and the other following the death of a player from the opposing club.
Watters added: “I think we’ve got the stronger side in most positions and if we play to our abilities, we’ll win comfortably. If we don’t play to our abilities, I still think we’ll have a good chance.”
