World class acts and wide variety in Rye music festival
One of the UK’S best boutique musical festivals the event will present an array of superb world class headline acts featuring the very best in jazz, blues, soul, r&b, funk, Latin and world music.
Free events take place throughout Rye on August 29-31 at the Butter Market, a marching band will hit the streets, and various free gigs take place at many local fringe venues.

Hide AdThe festival programme also includes five special music cinematic screenings at the Kino Cinema - these are Ray, Dream Girls, Bayou Maharajah, and The Sound After The Storm.
Headline acts include Paul Jones and The Blues Band, founder of Doctor Feelgood Wilko Johnson, bassist Herbie Flowers, jazz singer James Tormé, the UK’s number 1 male jazz singer Ian Shaw, the charismatic jazz singer Liane Carroll, Mercury prize award winning GoGo Penguin, jazz singer and pianist Theo Jackson, US Soul Diva Avery Sunshine, the Neil Angilley Jazz trio, Jazz Diva Kitty LarRoar, Clare Teal and Cuban band Son Yambu.
The festival programme also includes many free live music events at local fringe venues, acoustic sessions, and marching bands parading through the streets over the August bank holiday weekend. Many other acts are being announced over the coming weeks leading up to the festival.
