Poundland in Langney’s Kingfisher Drive is getting a new selection of frozen food from May 10, according to an announcement from the retailer.
This would take the total to 175 of its stories having frozen food. Poundland hopes to have the range in 250 of its shops by the end of September – a rollout that is known as Project Diamond Ice.

Items in the range, which has been developed in partnership with Fultons Food, include everyday meals and snacks such as ready meals, pizzas and pies, frozen desserts and ice cream.
New trollies and belted checkouts will also be installed in some larger stores to make the shopping experience even easier for customers.
Austin Cooke, retail and transformation director, said, “The past year has shown how important Poundland stores are to their local communities and providing a range of chilled and frozen food means our customers can get more of what they need in one shopping trip.

The branch in Terminus Road will not be getting the frozen range next month.
