Bognor celebrated in new film

Film-makers Barry and Angela Pyatt have turned their lens on Bognor Regis for the town's first promotional DVD.

The couple have produced Bognor '“ Sunshine on Sea to highlight the charms and attractions of a resort usually blessed with good weather.

The 40-minute production covers some of the town's historic architecture from the days of Sir Richard Hotham as well as modern landmarks such as the Butlins Skyline Pavilion.

Barry said: 'The film is not commercial in any way nor sponsored. It represents our interests and enthusiastic support of the area and effectively promotes it as a very desirable place to be.

'It still has that essence of a British seaside resort, which is sadly lacking in a lot of south coast places nowadays.

'Bognor is a fantastic place and it is really poised for quite an exciting future. There seems to be a lot going on there.'

The couple, both aged 59, spent a year making the DVD. Also featured are cameos of Pagham Harbour, Chichester, Selsey and Arundel among the nearby attractions.
