Charity appeal for knitters for Crawley Hospital fundraiser
Following a successful response the League’s appeal for wool, the team are now asking for nimble fingered volunteers to help make into baby clothes, shawls and dolls’ clothes to sell.
Fundraiser Maria Hains said: “We had 20 bin bags full. It’s amazing how people have been so kind. If we can get some more knitters to make booties, babies’ clothes and blankets, it would be wonderful.”

They hold events such as book sales, good as new sales, and quiz nights. Last year volunteers in the Pound Hill charity shop raised nearly £8,000.
This year all the televisions in the three wards, day rooms and side rooms were replaced at a cost of £15,000.
The next project is to make the garden area on the Stroke ward into a dementia friendly garden and increase the area for the garden furniture that we have purchased.
