Firefighter Ady calls it right!
And he was right ... the bike belonged to his son.
Ady Carrick said: "The call came in at 1.30 on Saturday morning. As soon as I saw the address I knew straightaway it was probably going to be his.
"And it was."
The Suzuki Catana 50cc moped had been chained up as usual to a telegraph pole in the street near the old Bexhill police station.

Hide AdAdy thinks someone tried to steal it but couldn't - so set fire to it.
His son Adam, 16, had owned the bike for just two months.
"He had been saving up for absolutely ages, really wanting to get the bike in time for his birthday. We helped him save for it.
"He spent all his money on that bike. Now he is absolutely gutted.
"In September he starts college in Hastings, so he needed it to to go over there."

Hide AdAdam will get nothing back to cover his loss, as the motorbike had just third-party insurance.
"If he had taken out third-party, fire and theft, the excess he would have paid would have been 500 - more than the bike was worth."
Adam is seen above with the burnt-out bike.
