Unless Horsham has an inflation rate beyond the UK rate for the same period such an increase is unjustified on this fact alone. Our councillors approved the increase.
Equally, l tried to establish what happened to the waste, once collected.

If so, what income did the district council receive and where did it go?
Nobody at the council could give such information which would, anyway, be subject to an Fol request!
This is a classic load of ‘garden rubbish’! Is National Security at stake?

Hide AdShould what I suspect be taking place, the cost to the third party of buying our garden waste (it does not belong to the council) should be raised to cover all the added increases.
This would mean that we, the local tax payers, need not incur any increases - particularly when our FREE raw material has been used.
