Safe cyclists don't want to run anyone down
This is, of course, a load of old nonsense.
All your average cyclist actually wants is a safe way to get into the town on a traffic-free route, and somewhere to ride with their kids to teach them the valuable skills they will need when they come to ride unaccompanied themselves.
Yet again it's an example of the hatred the people of Worthing seem to have for their two wheeled brethren, and yet if you look at the facts you can see Worthing is a town ideally suited to cycling.

Just remembe,r every trip by bike into the town is, of course, one less car clogging it up.
I run a mountain bike club in Worthing and as such I've made it my mission to get people out and cycling on the Downs.
We have such an amazing area local to us. I'm sure most people are unaware of the fact you can be out in the countryside within half an hour from pretty much anywhere in the town.

We can reduce the risk to cyclists and encourage people to ride has got to be a good thing in my book, and the constant narrow-minded attitude to cycle access in this town is something I will do everything in my power to overcome.
